The self-catering cottages.

The 3 cottages, each 4 star grade, are formed in an individual style from the 300 year old stone built Barn and have been equipped to a very high standard. Each has its own: washing machine/ tumbler dryer; fridge/ freezer; electric cooker; microwave; dishwasher; toaster; etc.

A DVD player, television, books and direct dial telephone are provided in the sitting area within each cottage, with an extension phone in each bedroom, giving you the choice to keep in touch with the outside world or to hide away.

The maximum number of guest that can stay in self catering accommodation is 15.

The special setting of a tranquil valley with a backdrop of protective hills compliments the Drumcovitt atmosphere. Explore the Farm lanes, close by Banagher Glen is an Area of Special Scientific Interest. In addition, many sites of archaeological and historic interest dot the whole North West. Derry City, Donegal, the Sperrin Mountains, Banagher Glen and the Causeway Coast are each only a few miles from here.
 

Fish, Golf, Bird watch, Hill walk, search for your roots, take time to meet the local people, visit friends and relations and still have the freedom to do your "own thing" by staying in the Drumcovitt Barn Cottages.

Foyle Cottage (sleeps 5+1)
Foyle Cottage has level access and a wheelchair friendly ground floor which includes a twin bedded room with ensuite, roll-in shower and upstairs there is a family room (a double bed and a single bed) and another bathroom. A further single bed can be added to the twin bedded room if required.

Faughan Cottage (sleeps 4+1)
Faughan Cottage has both front and back doors, providing handy access for children and dogs. Upstairs it has a double bedroom with ensuite and a twin bedded room with a separate bathroom. A further single bed can be added to the twin bedded room if required.

Roe Loft (sleeps 4+1)
Roe Loft is the favourite of many. Based on a loft design, the accommodation is all based on the first floor and consists of an open plan lounge and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen, double bedroom, a twin bedded room and a separate bathroom. A further single bed can be added to the twin bedded room if required. The wide window seat in the lounge area looks over the gardens to Mullaghash, a foothill on the Sperrins range.

Additional Important Information
To facilitate cleaning we ask guests to vacate the Cottage by 11.00am on your day of departure. Checking in time is from 4.00pm to 6.00pm. If you are likely to arrive outside these times, please let us know as soon as possible.

Car parking space at the end of the Barn gives level access to Foyle Cottage. There are either two steps or a slope from the parking areas to Faughan and Roe.

Cycles may be stored in a locked shed.

There is a drying room for outdoor clothes.

Wellington boots for most sizes are available to borrow for those who do not have them, to allow you to enjoy walks to the top of the farm.

There is also a Games Room that has a Table Tennis table, a mini snooker table and a play area and games for toddlers and small children.

If you wish to have some groceries, etc in the Cottage for your arrival it would be helpful if we could have your order at least 7 days before that date. Payment for these items may be made when settling your account.

Bed linen is supplied; beds are made ready for use. We also provide towels, however, we do ask swimmers and pets to bring their own towels.

Pet owners - please keep dogs under control (on a lead) at all times when outdoors on the farm, especially when cattle or sheep are in sight. We would appreciate you keeping all pets off the furniture and, as mentioned above, that you please bring their own towels and bedding.

Water and Electricity (240 volts ) are both on mains supply.

Logs for the open fires may be obtained on site.

Children (and adults) on a farm should not go near any machinery or animals unless the farmer says they may.

At Drumcovitt there is a lane and a Fairy Glen which children and adults may explore. The garden welcomes those who wish to relax or wander.

During the High season most Self Catering bookings run from Saturday to Saturday. If this does not suit your holiday dates, please ask as we try to be as flexible as possible.
